While some were hopping around on stages waving their arms like an orangatang, swinging implements of destruction and laughing at causing the loss of livelihoods for thousands, future jobs of the young who have trained for years and now have no where to apply, whilst destroying security for the rest of us… I was working on centering my energy, making other people’s lives better in small ways and creating an oil portrait of my mother, when she was a young woman. It’s not finished yet, I’m letting it dry for a bit and then will do finishing touches, sign it and glaze it. For now, I’m sharing a cropping of her eyes. I will share the finished portrait with her, framed, at her next birthday.
Mother’s can make such a difference in our lives. I often wonder about the mother’s of men who delight in destruction. Were they parented well and still chose the dark path? Who knows for sure. I was fortunate enough to have a good mother who did not have a good childhood. I also had a good father who backed my mother, even when she was making a mistake. His childhood was better yet still really rough. He knew that my mom did not respond well to an overbearing man so he worked his magic and support for her in other ways. It paid off in two happy, productive children who have used their powers for good and raised their own good citizens.
How can you tell if someone is doing the right thing? Well, for one, they don’t smirk when they have caused harm to another. They don’t smirk when they think they have cheated you or gotten one over on you. They don’t gloat. They don’t act in grandiose ways. They don’t say they are the only one that can fix things and they certainly don’t consort with those who will destroy freedom and democracy. The men I have met, who have the strongest spines are often the quietest and calmest of men. They don’t need to tell everyone how good they are because they have taken the time to work on themselves and make sure they ARE good and are DOING good. Yet when the time comes for them to back their daughters, or calmly call out someone who is damaging others, their back is strong and true. Their voice and demeanor are calm yet forceful. It’s a beautiful quality to see.
Can men who have made the wrong choices, not done the work on their own integrity and caused massive harm to others ever change course? Of course they can. Our biggest test for the next decade or so will be… do they find it worth their while?
I know from my childhood readings and teachings that I don’t answer to humans. I answer to a higher energy. There are many names for this energy, some call it God, Yahweh, etc., I just call it “the originator”. It is what everything comes from and is always moving through us. We are light and dark. We choose each day what to amplify and work on, or work towards. I know that energy is what I answer to when my time has ended. Let’s hope our time on this fragile planet will be long. It really depends on the men now doesn’t it? Because they do not trust women to lead. So gentlemen… peace on earth. Please.
