It’s hard to believe we are already at the end of April. This year is flying by for me. So many creative adventures and so many things to manage or learn.
I have done a lot of ancestry photo scanning for digital storage. This involved overcoming a software problem that the latest OS update caused. That took a few days and I finally found a work around. Thank goodness for forums on corporate mistakes! Otherwise I would have been completely non-functional.
A seasonal cold knocked me flat for a few days however with the help of my caring husband and some research on good nutrition during a cold, I got past it with no ill effects.
Getting a bedroom changed over to a guest room was a big task, but we pulled off a good surprise for a family member traveling to stay with us and celebrated a family birthday. The actual furniture arriving is another on going issue. Review to come!
I was able to get more scanning of ancestry items done and also took a class in some hand work. So I was able to repair some vintage tablecloths and start a new project that I can do when socializing with a group.
A few things I wanted to share with you are:
Here’s a really creative home I just read about recently. The home has probably been sold since, however it’s wonderful to watch someone’s creative vision come to completion. You can read about it here.
I will update my Glabal Art news page soon.
Something many people don’t think about during wars, is the impact on the landscape and waterscape in the area where people are also dying in high numbers. All the more reason we should all speak up for peace and dialog instead of bombs. The marine mammals would appreciate it also. Read about that here.
Speaking of the natural world, sometimes it needs us to help out. So this month I joined a group of wonderful volunteers to pot some baby oaks and plant some sprouted acorns for a nature preserve in our area. With our work and the work done prior, the organization now has enough trees to plant for 2 years! And they have enough to donate to the wildlife crossing on the 101 freeway here in Southern California. It’s so great to connect with knowledgeable people who are making a positive difference.

So, what creative things do you have going this year? Is it all in one category like a sane person or is it all over the map like me? Whatever it is, I hope you care for friends, family, a stranger you meet and the planet we are all walking around on. Until next time my friends! Peace!
